Areas of Expertise
Counselling and Psychotherapy
At The Springs Counselling and Psychotherapy, we offer counselling and psychotherapy services to young persons aged 11 years + and adults. In addition to couples therapy.
I'm trained in CBT, Person-centred therapy, Attachment therapy and Psychodynamic therapy. I specialise in working with trauma and PTSD, although I do work with a variety of other presenting problems such as; mental health, self-confidence and self-image, difficulty with identity and relationship attachment.
In my couples practice I am also training in EFT (Emotionally focused therapy).

My aim is to provide a therapeutic space for clients, building safe and trusting environment for clients to explore and process their feelings, thoughts and experiences.
I value the importance of autonomy in the therapy room, for you to have a choice in how you want to work and process through your presenting problems whilst supporting you in this journey.
I offer both remote and face-to-face counselling services in a safe and confidential space for clients.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of therapy that helps clients to identify and change negative patterns of thinking and behaviour. At The Springs Counselling and Psychotherapy, I use CBT to help clients manage a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD. The CBT sessions are tailored to the individual needs of my clients, and I work collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals.
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a form of therapy that helps clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in a safe and supportive environment. At The Springs Counselling and Psychotherapy, I offer a range of psychotherapy approaches, including Person-centred therapy and Psychodynamic therapy and EFT.

Person-centred therapy focuses on providing empathy, congruence and acceptance to help an individual to understand and accept themselves. Person-centred therapy allows the individual to lead the therapy sessions in focusing on what they want to bring and how they would like to process their experiences.

Whilst Psychodynamic therapy focuses on how current feelings, thoughts and behaviours can be connected to and shaped by past experiences and unconscious processes.

EFT is an evidence-based approach to couples therapy which draws from attachment theory and the science of emotions to help couples to identify the negative processing and interaction patterns that are creating distress and conflict. EFT also helps couples to understand their emotions and emotional regulation, to understand the impact of their thinking patterns and to build self-awareness and improve their attachment.
I use these approaches to help clients work through a range of issues, including relationship problems, trauma, loss of identity and confidence and life worries and stresses.
My Approach
At The Springs Counselling and Psychotherapy, my approach is client-centred and collaborative. I believe that each client is unique, and I work with them to develop a personalised support that meets their individual needs. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I use evidence-based treatments to help clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
